Welcome to Remote Places
There is nothing like a big trip, either by motorbike or in the mountains.
The worries of the week pass away, your eyes become accustomed to the great spaces between the sea and the sky, and you start to relax. Around you precious wild flowers grow carelessly amongst the cracks and crannies of the rocks. Birds browse for food for their young. On a bike, there's the smells that pass you, the challenge of a big hairpin.
That's where we can help. As experienced and qualified mountaineers and motorcyclists, we can take you on the trip of your dreams, or help you to become more confident and self-sufficient.
With years of mountain experience all around the world, we know the mountains where we work. Where to find the flowers, the wild birds and animals, and the paths. Being based in North Wales, we know the classic roads over and through the mountains - and not just the fast ones either.
We don't run big trips. We provide courses and journeys for individuals and small groups, and somewhere different each year. If you would like to plan your own adventure, or develop your skills, then we can help you.
Prices? A journey is an investment in life itself, a precious store of memories and rich experiences. We value what we do and work hard to give you a rich experience. The price reflects our costs, our training and the quality of your experience.
But don't forget the definition of adventure - 'an event with an uncertain outcome'. Or as Clive Greenhough remarked, "... there [is] something inherently pointless about risk-free adventure travel" (Vince, A., (Ed) Mondo Enduro, 2007; 281)
Please keep your dog on a lead ...

During the ground nesting bird season (1st March and 31st July) please stay on the main paths and keep your dog on a short lead or under close control in moorland, forests, grassland, loch shores and the seashore.
Dogs pose a particular threat as they rarely keep to paths, race over large areas and snuffle around in undergrowth that is not easily accessible to people. The brooding adult bird blends in very well with its surroundings but this camouflage means it is easy for people or dogs to unknowingly stray too close and frighten the birds from their nests. The eggs or chicks are then left unprotected and vulnerable to chilling or predation from birds such as magpies and rooks.
